Originally from Kenya, Dorothy majored in finance at university and qualified as a chartered accountant at a Big 4 audit firm in 2019. She has over 7 years’ experience in accounting and audit work and has had responsibility for providing statutory audit services to a wide variety of regulated and unregulated clients in the financial services sector as well as the manufacturing and oil & gas sectors.
Dorothy joined BDO in Jersey in 2022 as a Manager in the Audit and Assurance Team. Dorothy has a diverse portfolio of clients which include private equity, real estate, asset management, regulated entities and commercial clients.
Dorothy's focus is on audit quality, providing insights into financial reporting standards and providing exceptional client service. She plays a key role in ensuring that risk management and auditing processes are carried out successfully.
Dorothy is well-acquainted with UK GAAP and IFRS accounting standards and keeps up to date with any changes in accounting rules and regulations. She is highly analytical, has attention to details and ensures critical audit areas are addressed for quality BDO service.
