Martin is a Director in the audit and assurance department, with 9 years’ experience in Jersey and the UK. He is a member of the ICAEW, having qualified in 2014 and joined BDO from another mid-tier firm in 2015 and during that time has focussed on private equity, real estate and locally regulated entities. He has also taken a lead role in internal audit, advisory and other assurance engagements.
Client service is at the core of BDO’s offering, something that resonates strongly with Martin’s ethos and values. While audit is necessarily assurance-based, Martin uses his experience and expertise to also deliver actionable advice to help businesses develop and grow.
Whether it is through working with local finance teams or providing consultations on non-audit clients, Martin can blend a deep technical knowledge with a pragmatic and goal orientated outlook.
Outside of his role on client engagements, Martin heads up the local technical team, representing the firm on the JSCCA technical committee and liaising with local clients and the wider BDO network on local and global technical matters. He also plays a key role locally in recruitment and the audit department’s strategy.
